Michael F. Walsh...


Michael teaches drum set to all levels and in all styles.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from UNH.  A student himself for over 18 years, he’s studied privately with Portland Symphony Orchestra principal percussionist Nancy Smith, as well as accomplished jazz drummers Les Harris Jr., and Bob Gullotti.  Since college, has worked as a private drumset instructor, free-lance performer, and a studio session drummer.  Mike has worked with such diverse groups as the Seacoast Big Band, Mango Groove Steel Drum Band, John Francosa Small Group Projects, Sai Chose Trio, Gerry Adams Trio, Phil Sargent Group, Dougg Klegg, The Joads, Eric Colville, & The Friday Night Haircuts. He also teaches at the Leddy Center in Epping, Brewster Academy in Wolfboro, and River Tree Arts in Kennebunk, ME.  Mike can be seen performing regularly with the Amorphous Band and his own group Analog Method.
